A slice of green in the big apple
27/04/12

I might be a little behind the times and I haven’t been there yet, but this is my new favourite thing about New York. For me, it’s not hard to love almost everything about New York but the High Line park really is something special. The park is built on a historic rail line and was going to be demolished until the community pulled together and transformed the area into a beautiful space. The spaces around the High Line have now been converted into art galleries, design studios, retailers, restaurants and museums. The space itself really looks at what can be done with existing materials and spaces to turn them into a functional and beautiful space.
